This app is a free iPhone interface to the popular, web based, financial planning application. Mint shows you recent transactions, account balances and budget breakdowns for all of your credit, investment and banking accounts in a very nice, clean looking interface. Currently you can only view data as there is no way to create new transactions. If your iPhone is lost or stolen, you can remotely disable your iPhones ability to access your account to keep your finances safe. Cost: $Free.
Using a random-number algorithm, iBonsai grows infinitely unique bonsai trees, as you watch., You can then rotate your tree around in 3D and save it as your wallpaper. Not a useful app but a fun way to kill some time. Cost: $3.
Shapewriter is an interesting text input app from the creator of the T9 auto complete system that's now in every mobile phone out there. You drag your finger over an on screen keyboard, connecting letters into words in a connect the dots fashion. Shapewriter then determines what word you're trying to input. The free version just got a full upgrade to 2.0. The pro version, which is $10, removes the ads and includes a landscape typing mode, internal copy and paste, and several other features not included in the free version.
